What the app collects, and why

We collect only what the app needs to work. None of it is used for advertising.

What we don't collect

Location, contacts, health data, browsing or search history, advertising identifiers, usage analytics, or crash data from third-party tools. We don't show ads, track you, sell data, or share it for advertising.

Apple's own crash reports reach us only if you opt in to sharing them on your iPhone.

Sign-in providers

Sign in with Apple gives us the name and email address you choose to share. If you choose Hide My Email, we get a private relay address instead of your real one.

Google sign-in gives us your name and email address, and a link to your profile photo, which the app doesn't use. We use Google user data only to create your account and sign you in. We don't use it for advertising and don't share it with anyone else.

Email codes are 6-digit codes sent from no-reply@nestdays.app to the address you enter. Each code expires after 10 minutes.

Your own calendars

The app asks for calendar access only when you choose a calendar feature. Your iPhone calendars appear only in your own view.

Copy to Apple Calendar writes to a calendar on your phone and sends nothing to our server.

How long we keep it

  • Account and household content: until you delete it or delete your account.
  • Activity history: 7 days for free households, kept while a household has Premium.
  • Notification log: 30 days.
  • Invite codes: expire after 7 days.
  • Busy times: replaced on each refresh, and deleted when you turn sharing off, sign out, leave the household or delete your account.
  • Backups: up to 30 days, then overwritten.

Deleting your account

Go to Account → Delete account in the app. This deletes your account, sign-in methods, push notification tokens, busy times and the invite codes you made.

  • Tasks assigned to you go back to “Needs an owner”.
  • Events and tasks you added to a household you share stay with your partner, because they are part of the shared calendar.
  • If you are the last member, the household and all its content are deleted.
  • If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke the app's access to your Apple ID.

Your rights

  • Access and export: Account → Export my data gives you an .ics file and a JSON file.
  • Correction: edit your name and content in the app.
  • Deletion: Account → Delete account.
  • Questions or objections: email support@nestdays.app.

Depending on where you live, for example California, the UK or the EU, you may have more rights, such as restricting processing or complaining to a data protection authority. We honor them on request.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). On our server, access to a household's data is restricted to its members. Your data is not end-to-end encrypted: our server stores it so it can be shared with your partner.

Children

Nest Days is made for adults running a household. It is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us data, email us and we'll delete it.

This website

nestdays.app sets no cookies and has no ads or trackers. We count visits with Fathom Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics. Both work without cookies and give us totals, such as page views and referring sites, without identifying you or following you across other sites. Cloudflare also processes standard request data, such as your IP address, to serve and protect the site.

Changes

When we update this policy, we post the new version here and change the date at the top. For significant changes, we also tell you in the app.
